Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Overall a nice softer song. Humulescu–Iubi-Te-voi, Doamne (2:36) a good melody. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Adam–O Holy Night, which shows, blatantly, how much Angela Gheorghiu has evolved as a singer. Schubert–Mille cherubini in coro (3:45) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Angela Gheorghiu. Brahms–Wiegenlied, Op.49 No.4 actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Angela Gheorghiu’s face. Mendelssohn–Auf Flgein des G has a fun tempo. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. Mascagni–Ave Maria is probably the highlight of the album. NiedermeyerPieta, Signore is another favourite of mine. Bach–Quia respexit from Magnificat rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. Schubert–Ave Maria from Ellens Gesang III, D 389, Op.52 No.6 is a strong cut, one of many. From the moment you listen to Wade–Adeste Fideles you’re hooked.
