In the Garden is just simply stunning. If It Had Not Been is simple, dignified and effective, Ann Nesby refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Grandma’s Hands to me is the best you can get from Ann Nesby. If I Can’t Say a Word is the albums biggest surprise. The song Higher Mountains ending is my favorite… so catchy! The song feels complete. Jesus Paid It All is the more seemingly obscure song on In The Spirit that bear up best to repeated listening. Oh How I Love Jesus one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on In The Spirit.
