Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. Sonate VI en fa majeur is simple, dignified and effective, Biber refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Sonate VIII en sol majeur, which shows, blatantly, how much Biber has evolved as a singer. Sonate X en sol mineur is astounding. Sonate XI en la majeur marked the continuation of Biber in style evolution. Sonate XII en ut majeur is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside.
