This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Buddy Holly. I like the idea behind Peggy Sue. Oh Boy! is the first taste of the new album. I love the melodic melody of Rave On and to this day it makes me feel good. Listening to Think It Over you can hear that Buddy Holly has still amazing chemistry with band members. Brown Eyed Handsome Man is a fine track on any terms. Love’s Made A Fool Of You - This one is lively and fun. This track is full of harmonies and gets The Very Best of Buddy Holly off to a relaxing start. Overall a nice softer song. Everyday is astounding. Wishing - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. It Doesn’t Matter Anymore is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. Words Of Love can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what Buddy Holly is all about. I’m Gonna Love You Too - another great track from the The Very Best of Buddy Holly album. Well…All Right - A catchy, upbeat tune. The song feels complete. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in The Very Best of Buddy Holly. What To Do is a medium tempo tune. The song Midnight Shift ending is my favorite… so catchy! Love Is Strange is probably one of Buddy Holly’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. I came to like Crying, Waiting, Hoping. Peggy Sue Got Married - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. Maybe Baby is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Buddy Holly ever produced. Early In The Morning (2:09) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! Baby I Don’t Care is a great opener for The Very Best of Buddy Holly. In Reminiscing it becomes nowhere more obvious that Buddy Holly has yet to define own style. Valley Of Tears is beautiful, yet underrated track. Learning The Game (2:03) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. Look At Me is the album’s biggest hit, I think. Fools Paradise one of the best in my collection. Take Your Time defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Not Fade Away because the melody in the chorus is so good.
