So much energy, so exciting a sound.Royal Telephone is a fine track on any terms. The Long Black Vail has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. I Walk The Line stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. The Allmighty Dollar is a good listen every once in a while. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Burl Ives - Country Gold is The Blizzard. In Forty Hour Week it becomes nowhere more obvious that Burl Ives has yet to define own style. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Pearly Shells (Popo O Ewa) because the melody in the chorus is so good. The Same Old Hurt - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. Green Green Grass Of Home is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. The song feels complete. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. Mary Ann Regrets is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. Busted is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. Funny Way of Laughin is outstanding work of Burl Ives. Poor Little Jimmie the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe.
