(Get Your Kicks on) Route 66 is simple, dignified and effective, Four Freshmen refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. I Had the Craziest Dream is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. Within the first few notes of I’m Glad There Is You it’s perfectly clear that Four Freshmen is living this song. It Had to Be You is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. Simple and heartfelt closing track |title closes Voices and Brass on a high note. Candy is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. A great put together song. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Never Again is one of the coolest songs Four Freshmen has ever recorded. Sunday is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. Autumn Leaves is the album’s biggest hit, I think.
