Shouting Street stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. This track is clearly meant to showcase Joe Strummer’s vocal abilities. A great put together song. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. Spanish Bombs the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. Armagideon Time - arguably the best track on Live Edimburgh album. Although Viva La 15th Brigade is very melodic it is far from sad. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. I like to sing along with Love of the Common People, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. The Unknow Immortal gets you up and jumping. Sightsee MC - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. Nothing About Nothing rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. Police & Thieves is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Ride the Donkey is the funkiest number on the album. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Straight to Hell because the melody in the chorus is so good. If I Should Fall from grace with God is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. When I listen to I Fought the Law in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. This song is dynamic and dramatic. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. A unique and uplifting song. Tropic of no Return is probably one of Joe Strummer’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Dum Dum Club is the albums biggest surprise. I now have Police on my Back as one of my personal favorites. I listened to the opening track Love Kills and liked it a lot. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect.
