Take Me Home, Country Road - To me, this is the best song on the Country Roads: Best. It’s such an underrated song. Looking For Space is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is My Sweet Lady because the melody in the chorus is so good. The sound of Shanghai Breezer is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. Like A Sad Song is one of the coolest songs John Denver has ever recorded. When listening to I’m Sorry, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. Such hits like Seasons Of The Heart will leave you hooked. This track is a great song that still never gets old. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. Next song I Want To Live is actually a funny song. Listening to Sunshine On My Shoulders you can hear that John Denver has still amazing chemistry with band members. Rocky Mountain High is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. Calypso is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. On The Wings Of A Dream is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. John Denver has astounded me with this amazing track. Life Is So Good - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem.
