Deep Into It marked the continuation of Larry Carlton in style evolution. I now have Don’t Break My Heart as one of my personal favorites. I Still Believe has a fun tempo. This track is a great song that still never gets old. It’s A Groove Thang is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. Closer To Home (3:48) a good melody. I Can’t Tell You Why is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. This is one hell of a track. Best song on the album, love it. Put It Where You Want It (Extended Version) is the more seemingly obscure song on Deep Into It that bear up best to repeated listening.
