Sister Sanctified on Southern Exposure is solid and easy to listen to. Splashin’ has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Maceo Parker’s strong vocals come to the fore. Walking Home Together is a bit of a show-tune. The Way You Look Tonight is pretty funky and mellow. No Maceo Parker song has come close to capturing my attention as Every Saturday Night did. Keep On Marching is a fine track on any terms. Mercy, Mercy, Mercy is outstanding work of Maceo Parker. Blues For Shorty Bill - Okay, I just talked about depth.
