Musically Meditation From Thais is superior to other tracks in Classic Kennedy. Scarborough Fair stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. Hungarian Dance No. 5 (2:55) a good melody. Nocturne In C Sharp Minor Op. Posth. one is one of the better boring ones. Gymnopedie No. 2 (2:07) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. Prelude No. 1 is a fine track on any terms. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. Danny Boy is the albums biggest surprise. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. The Arrival Of The Queen Of Sheba - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. Nigel Kennedy has astounded me with this amazing track. La Fille Aux Cheveux De Lin still maintains something of a specific flourish. Gymnopedie No. 1 the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. From the moment you listen to Prelude No. 2 you’re hooked. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. Banjo and Fiddle on Classic Kennedy is solid and easy to listen to. The song Zigeunnerweiden ending is my favorite… so catchy! It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Urge For Going, which shows, blatantly, how much Nigel Kennedy has evolved as a singer. Melody In The Wind is pretty funky and mellow.
