From Becht, Byas And Fats - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. Berkshire Blues is perfect. A Nightingale Sang In Berkeley Square is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. March On, Swan Lake one of the best in my collection. The Haunted Melody - Okay, I just talked about depth. Once Meeting On Termini’s Corner gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. Rolando is one of these floating songs. Blues For Alice rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. Black Diamond is probably the highlight of the album. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. Where Monk And Mingus Live/Let’s Call This marked the continuation of Roland Kirk in style evolution. Blues For C & T is probably the most interesting track on Jazz Masters 27.
