The End is so unique, as each one of the songs is. Hard Way To Fall has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Ryan Adams and The Cardinals’s strong vocals come to the fore. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Dear John. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Games is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. Silver Bullets very upbeat. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. My Heart Is Broken is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. From the moment you listen to Trains you’re hooked. Pa is probably the highlight of the album. Withering Heights is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. Don’t Fail Me Now is a medium tempo tune.
