No 2 in A minor is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. No 3 in G major gets you up and jumping. No 4 in E minor is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. No 5 in D major is the more seemingly obscure song on Preludes and Fugues for Piano that bear up best to repeated listening. It’s such an underrated song. No 7 in A major is one of the coolest songs Shostakovich has ever recorded. No 8 im F sharp minor is a good listen every once in a while. No 9 in E major is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. No 10 in C sharp minor is just simply stunning. This song stands out greatly from the others. Next song No 12 in G sharp minor is actually a funny song. I like the idea behind No 13 in F sharp major. No 14 in E flat minor one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. No 15 in D flat major stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. No 16 in B flat minor (11:53) a good melody. No 17 in A flat major - another great track from the Preludes and Fugues for Piano album. No 18 in F minor is the albums biggest surprise. Album opener No 19 in E flat major is a bright, upbeat ditty. This is probably my favorite song on the album. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. No 23 in F major is pretty funky and mellow. No 24 in D minor is a very catchy tune.
