Taker is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. This Time - A catchy, upbeat tune. Don’t You Think This Outlaw Bit’s Done Got Out of Hand is really a nice song to relax and listen too. Brown Eyed Handsome Man - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Waylon Jennings. Just to Satisfy You make listening to Waylon Jennings like being in some sort of time warp. Theme from the Dukes of Hazzard (Good Ol’ Boys) is the funkiest number on the album. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. Once Mason Dixon Lines gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Legends is Luckenbach, Texas (Back to the Basics of Love). Honky Tonk Woman rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. Vocals of Waylon Jennings in Suspicious Minds really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Ladies Love Outlaws is my favorite song on Legends. Amanda - another great track from the Legends album. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. Are You Sure Hank Done It This Way is pretty funky and mellow. Games People Play is a very catchy tune. Good Hearted Woman [Live] marked the continuation of Waylon Jennings in style evolution. Ruby, Don’t Take Your Love to Town is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. I listened to the opening track No Regrets and liked it a lot. A fantastic track full of wonder. Within the first few notes of MacArthur Park it’s perfectly clear that Waylon Jennings is living this song. Endangered Species is probably the most interesting track on Legends. You have to get essence of the Waymore’s Blues, Pt. 2’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. Folsom Prison Blues is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. Although Nobody Knows is very melodic it is far from sad. Love of the Common People sets the tone for the entire album. She’s Looking Good is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. It Doesn’t Matter Anymore actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Waylon Jennings’s face. Door Is Always Open - Okay, I just talked about depth. It’ll Be Her is worth the money. Me and Bobby McGee is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. You Asked Me To - Check out that bassline! It took me a little time but I ended up loving Black Rose. This is one hell of a track. I Recall a Gypsy Woman is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. Oklahoma Sunshine has a fun tempo. Let’s Turn Back the Years is one of the more up-tempo songs on Legends. Legends couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track Walkin’. Cloudy Days gets you up and jumping. Bob Wills Is Still the King [Live] is a good listen every once in a while. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. We Had It All is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Legends. The song feels complete. San Francisco Mabel Joy is the albums biggest surprise. Pretend I Never Happened (3:02) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! Midnight Rider - My least favorite song on this album. I Can’t Keep My Hands Off of You is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. Best song on the album, love it.
